Blue and White

Today has been blue and white day.
I have been cleaning, moving, and rearranging the blue and white dishes in my kitchen.

The dishes I had in this cabinet were blending in with the white background...so I decided it was time for a change.

One thing led to another, and I began rearranging and cleaning the entire kitchen.

Purple

Purple seems to be the theme of the flowers this spring in the Big Woods.  I decided to accent this bucket with a little ribbon.  It won't be long before the ground and the trees will be green with no signs of winter!!!

The week is suppose to be beautiful...we are so lucky.

How do you like these cute bottles???
I think that I will enjoy taking many pictures of many flowers in these bottles...
Happy Spring!!!

Crocuses

My daughter has been picking crocuses.
They won't last long in these little jars, but they sure brighten the world up for now!!!

Pansys and Violas

These are two of my most favorite flowers...pansys and violas.
We have had some beautiful Spring days to work outdoors.
This is my work table.

I had no intentions of taking these pictures when I began working...but, sometimes you just notice how beautiful the simple things are!!!

Violas

Today, I have had great fun playing outdoors.
This little viola has been wrapped in parchment paper...just the right thing to bring out the violet colors.

I tried placing it in different settings around the Big Woods to see where the photographs looked their best.

I am not quite sure which one is my favorite.
What do you think?

Hanging Viola Pots

The weather in the Big Woods has been lovely this weekend.  The sun has been shining and calling me to the outdoors.

I have now replaced my hanging red kerosene lanterns with these viola pots.  They were very simple to make with a little jute...and I think I will quite enjoy them hanging from my front porch.
