Country Living

There is a special feeling that you get when you go to the country in Tennessee.

It is a feeling that you just can't get in the city.

Scenes that depict a life that is lived slowly and simply.
You will never see anything like this in the city.
Honestly, if you don't know what poke berries are really missing out.

These images bring back memories of a time that was simple...
Can't you just imagine going in and out of this gate???
 Or how about this one???

You don't have to look far to get the feeling of family.
That is what the country is family.

And there are more generations still to enjoy it!!!

Land Clearing

My husband's business has been very busy this fall.
We went out a couple of weekends ago to take these pictures of a farm that he cleared.

It still amazes me what his land clearing machine can do.  This was previously an area that a human could barely walk through.

It looked something like this....

 ...and this.
And now, it looks like this.
I especially like how the machine is small enough to fit around trees, so that some can be left.
It looks like a park.
See the deer watching us in the background.

All is right in the Big Woods.
My blogging has taken a huge slow down as of late.
First it was problems with my disk full of pictures; then it was problems with my internet.
I have many things to share.
For example...
I just love this picture.
My Lynchburg sister's home is always decorated for the seasons.
She gives me lots of blogging material.
