Shade Flowers

Wow...the summer heat is upon us.  Temperatures here are in the upper 90's.  They have stayed in the upper 90's for several straight days, and there is no relief in sight.

The flowers in the Big Woods seem to be loving the hot weather.

I am trying to keep everything watered.

So... for now at least, there is lots of green and very little brown.

We even have some color in the middle of all this shade.

It is possible to grow flower gardens in the middle of the woods, even though it is not easy to find shade loving flowering plants.

Hopefully, the temperatures won't be this hot all summer.  It is typically not this hot this quick in Tennessee.  In the mean time, the flowers seem to be enjoying the early hot weather.
