Peach Cobbler

I hope you can smell these peaches through your computer. There is something wonderful about fresh peaches in the hot summertime. If you are lucky enough to get some, you might like to make a fresh peach cobbler. This is a very easy and old family recipe.

You will need:
3/4 cup plain flour
3/4 cup sugar
2 teaspoons baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup milk
1 stick butter

2 cups fruit
3/4 cup sugar

Begin your peach cobbler by preheating the oven to 350 degrees. Place a stick of butter in a large casserole dish. Set the casserole dish in the oven to melt the butter as the oven is preheating.

Blend the 3/4 cup sugar, 3/4 cup of flour, 2 teaspoons baking powder, and 1/2 teaspoon salt.

Blend in the 3/4 cup milk.

Peel and chop 2 cups of peaches and blend with the other 3/4 cup sugar.

Remove the melted butter from the oven and pour in the prepared mixture. Do not stir.

Next, pour in the prepared peaches...do not stir.
Bake at 350 for 40-45 minutes or until brown.

Here it is...a warm peach cobbler.

Now, I am sure you can smell it.

I actually made this peach cobbler a couple of days ago, and I am so glad there is a little left in the frig.
I think I will have some now...
Enjoy!
